Work Preparation is a government funded programme that aims to assist individuals with disabilities or long term health problems to:
- return to work after a long period of absence
- prepare to start work for the first time
The programme is managed from and delivered at Whitehouse Enterprises in Ipswich but can also be accessed throughout Suffolk.
A Disability Employment Advisor (DEA) or Personal Advisor at your local Jobcentre will assess individual suitability for Work Preparation and then make a referral to Whitehouse Enterprises.
A Work Preparation programme will typically last for 6 weeks and be based on an agreed action plan. You will be invited to visit Whitehouse Enterprises prior to the start of the programme to agree your suitability for the programme and the type of activities to be undertaken.
